NO BORDERS: FEAST ON THE SQUARE

Co-writer

Presented by The Royal Court

A three course meal, a 13-piece dinner. Eaten collectively. Devoured individually. Born on this island, born outside of it. Arepas soaked in Hungarian stew. A meeting of sorts. A debate. A feast among friends and audiences. A look in the past to establish the present. A demolition. A question.

Eleven writers, performers and theatre makers met over the course of six months at the Royal Court to wrestle with the question "what is political theatre?". The result was a collection of new works that interrogated national identity, complicity and the very building we met in.

It was sharing with the audience as if they were guests...But there was  something else beneath that, that almost took the carpet from under their feet.” - Howlround
